After presenting uniteCMS as a flexible headless CMS in the last magazine article, we would now like to show how this technological basis is used in practice by means of a specific project. With Kalendermacher, we present a company that realises customisable calendars, notebooks and other print products for companies. The focus is on high-quality, customisable solutions that can be adapted to different requirements and areas of application. The project is an example of how complex product logic, diverse configuration options and efficient sales processes can be combined in a digital solution.
The Configurator.
Kalendermacher shows how a digital system can be specifically adapted to the requirements of customisable products. At the centre of the project is a configurator that allows users to put together their own products in the front end. Different options and features are not only made selectable, but also immediately visible in a preview.
The quality of this preview is particularly relevant. Various masks and product shots are superimposed in such a way that a very concrete impression of the future product is created during configuration. This makes the selection more tangible, decisions easier and the result much more comprehensible.
This creates tangible added value, especially in sales. Instead of going to the customer appointment with physical samples, colour fans or elaborate explanations, the product can be configured directly together via the iPad. Requests can be played through immediately, variants can be shown directly and decisions can be made more quickly. At the same time, the internal effort is reduced as downstream graphic steps are significantly minimised.
Kalendermacher thus clearly demonstrates how uniteCMS can be used beyond classic content management. The system forms the basis for a digital process that not only manages products, but also combines configuration, sales and customisation in one application.
